Thalia biography
This young actress/singer was born in Mexico on August 26 1972 in the hospital Espanol in the enormous city of Mexico. Her full name is Ariadna Thalia Sodi Miranda. Will she change her name to Thalia Mottola because she got married? Nobody knows yet. She is the fifth child in her family, she is the baby. When she was young she loved to play sports with the boys more than she liked to play dolls with the girls. She was a fun person to be with, she liked to climb trees wear jeans, and to do everything that the boys did. The typical tomboy. But over the years, Thalia has changed into the "Reina de Telenovelas." Her artistic career began when she was a child. After participating in a lot of musical festivals for children, she got accepted into a group called Vaselina(1984), and then with the group Timbiriche . At first she was part of the back-up singers but then to her luck, she got to be the main singer in the group. Luis de Llano invited Thalia so that she could officially be part of Timbiriche when Sasha left the group. In September of 1986 she made her "debut" with Timbiriche and she immediately had people hooked. She recorder "Timbiriche VII, VIII y IX " with the group. In December of 1989 she said good-bye to the group Timbiriche, because she was preparing herself as a solo artist. Alfredo Diaz Ordaz produced her first three hit albums named "Thalia", "Mundo De Cristal" and "Love". They maintained a close relationship that almost lead her to the alter but unfortunately he past away while filming her second soap opera, "Marimar." Throughout the years, Thalia has combined her career as a singer with her acting abilities in order to make her smashing hit telenovelas: "La Pobre Seorita Limantur" (1986) "Quinceaera" (1987) "Mara Mercedes" (1992) "Marimar" (1994) "Mara la del Barrio (1996) In 1995, her professional life gave her a twist of fate. Her record label became EMI MUSIC MEXICO. Her first album recorded with them was "En Extasis" which was produced by Emilio Estefan and Oscar Lopez. "Piel Morena" a song included in her CD "En Extasis" reached the #1 spot for several weeks. In 1996 and 1997 were years of victory and triumph for Thalia. Her novelas and "En Extasis" took her around the world where she was well received by all of her fans. This album broke records in 20 countries, making it able for her to win "discos de oro y platino" for her CD's being sold in Central America. USA, Mexico, and South America. In June of '97 she released, Amor A L a Mexicana. It was recorded under the production of Emilio Estefan, Roberto Blades and Mario Pupparo. There are 10 tracks in the US version and 13 tracks in the Mex. version. On a windy night of the 2nd of December 2000, Thalia exchanged vows with Thomas D. Mottola in St. Patricks cathedral in New York City. May their happiness last forever. It seems that the years 2000 and 2001 have been Thalia's best years. In 2000, she released her mew "baby" Arrasando CD. A CD composed of 12 smashing new hits. Then once more, Thalia does it again. Thalia releases her Banda CD everyone has been waiting for. Thalia-Grandes Exitos en Banda contains previous hits with from EMI Latin years. Two new songs "Cuco Pena" and "La Revancha" show Thalia can pretty much sing any music genre she wishes, for she has the ability to do so.
