Cake - Commissioning a Symphony in C Guitar tabulature

Artist: Cake
Song: Commissioning A Symphony In C
Album: Comfort Eagle
Tabbed by: DrSokoban

Hi
This is the greatest Cake's song I've never heard...
Unfortunately the only time I see them live, they
didn't perform it, so I tabbed it all by ear.
Here it goes:

Intro on D... then the bass comes, with no guitar

So you'll be an Austrian Nobleman

Commissioning a symphony in C
         A# F
Which defines all earthly descriptions
              A# F
You'll be Commissioning a symphony in C

     D A
With money you squeeze from the peasants
        D C G
To your nephew you can give it as a present
         A# F
This magnificent symphony in C
            A#
You'll be commissioning a symphony in C

Chorus riff:
------------

F, E, D, G, C (play it twice, starting with the F on the 8th fret !)

                                           A
Completely filling the palace concert hall
                                                   G
It's warm and golden like an oven that's wide open
                                     F
It has a melody both happy and sad
                                  F
Built on Victoria's young triads

        D A
You've entered the room with great caution
D C G
Though no one in the hall is even watching

               A#
They are transfixed
                            F
They are forgetting just to breath
            A#
They are so taken by your symphony...

In C

(Same Chorus riff !)

Aaaahhh....

(Solo!)

-------5-6-8--------10----10----10----|
-7-5-7--------------------------------|

--------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------|

                                            A
You're sitting there thinking your thoughts
                                           G
They are not about what is but what is not
					      F
You are sitting there breathing in your breath
                                              F
You are seldom breathing life but mostly death

(for this last part, repeat the solo or play the usual
chords):

So you'll be an Austrian Nobleman

Commissioning a symphony in C

Which defies all earthly descriptions

You'll be commissioning...

A symphony...

In C

(And Chorus again, until end.)

Aaaahh...

Notes:
------

It's mainly power chords, and it sounds better
to play with Palm mute while the guitar goes with the
bass and lyrics.
I'm not totally sure of all the solo, but it sounds
good to me...
